Founded by our dear friends Heather and Kyle Allen, Lyla’s Legacy is a heartfelt initiative dedicated to supporting families experiencing the profound loss of an infant. This organization is particularly close to our hearts, as we have witnessed the love and resilience of the Allen family firsthand. Their mission to provide compassionate support during one of life’s most difficult journeys resonates deeply with us. In 2015, Heather and I embarked on a beautiful adventure together when we said “I do.” Just a few months later, we received the most wonderful news: we were expecting our first child, a little girl we named Lyla Jane. The excitement was palpable as we felt her tiny kicks during those early months. Heather’s pregnancy was going smoothly, and as we approached the finish line, our hearts were bursting with anticipation.
But on a heartbreaking day in July 2016, just one week before her due date, our dreams were shattered. At 39 weeks, our precious Lyla Jane was taken from us, leaving us utterly devastated and lost. The pain was indescribable, and in that moment, we didn’t know how we would move forward without her.
Yet, even in our darkest hour, we were surrounded by love. Family and friends stepped in, showering us with support that felt like a guiding light in the midst of our pain. We were led to counseling, where we could share our grief and begin to heal. We found solace in each other and in the community that rallied around us.
Inspired by the love we received, we founded Lyla’s Legacy with a heartfelt mission: to support families who are experiencing the unimaginable pain of infant loss. We want to walk alongside them, offering the same compassionate care that lifted us during our hardest days.
At Lyla’s Legacy, we strive to build a community where grieving families can find spiritual, emotional, and social support. Our goal is to nurture peace and tranquility in a time filled with sorrow. We understand the unique challenges these families face, and we are committed to providing a safe haven for them to grieve, remember, and heal.

With your generosity, we can offer counseling services, provide financial support, and create a retreat for families to find comfort and connection.
